Dr. Kevin Haggard, Jr. 

Dr. Kevin Haggard was born and raised in Louisville, KY, eventually relocating to Nashville, TN to attend Tennessee State University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). Starting as a Family Service Worker at the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, he built a robust foundation across healthcare, criminal justice, and education systems, prioritizing equity and social justice. Transitioning to public education leadership, Dr. Haggard held roles as a Family Resource Center Director, dropout prevention Site Coordinator, Director of School Partnerships, and an Assistant Professor of Social Work. He currently serves as Sr. Program Manager at a Fortune 100 company, managing Learning Experience Designers and Trainers. Dr. Haggard holds an MSW from Western Kentucky University and an EdD in Professional Practice and Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.

 

Dr. Haggard’s mission is to inspire, promote, and facilitate transformational change within communities that have been negatively impacted by unjust and inequitable systems. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, reading, trying new restaurants, collecting fragrances and spending time with his daughters, Kassidy and Kennedy.
